Because vein problems get progressively worse, it is best to correct them at the earliest stage possible  to eliminate future complications.

What Causes Vein Problems?

When blood does not flow properly from the surface veins to the deep veins, pressure can build up causing loosely supported superficial veins to become dilated and twisted. This condition is known as venous insufficiency. Eventually the affected veins become varicose veins which can vary in size.

Spider Veins: Very small veins are called “spider veins” or “thread veins”. These veins are different from varicose veins because they are situated within the layer of the skin itself. They may look like short, fine lines, “starburst” cluster, or a web-like maze. Spider veins are most common on the thighs, ankles and feet of women. Learn more+

Varicose Veins: are also superficial and lie below the surface of the skin, but they are more serious and often require medical attention. When blood that is meant to flow to the heart backs up, it pools in the superficial vessels just under the skin of the legs. This results in a distinct bulging, twisted and lumpy look often quite noticeable on the surface of the legs. Being both unattractive and often painful, left untreated, they can lead to blood clots, skin damage, inflammation, and leg ulcers. Learn more+
